I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Tampa, FL) in Mar 2019
Interview
They first ask if you want something to drink (for free)- take it! Even if you have no idea what’s on the menu or if you’re not a huge coffee person, there are plenty of other options! Teas, refreshers, crème based Frappuccino's...they want to know that you are interested in the “products” they’re selling.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked basic questions about my future ambitions, where I see myself with this company, what I’m expecting this company to do for me etc. they also asked the basic “what struggles have you had to overcome” or “tell me about a time when you didn’t agree with a supervisor, how did you resolve it”. Everything is pretty set as far as pay and benefits go, so there isn’t really any wiggle room for negotiations.
Straightforward and easy process, received interview offer after 1 week from submitting application. Asked approximately 5 questions related to prior job experience, leadership philosophies, and team-building examples. Heard back after 2 weeks for job offer.

The interview process was low stress, and I was offered a drink by a barista while waiting for the manager. We spoke about my previous relevant work experience, and how I've handled different situations with customers.
