I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Sumo Logic (Sydney) in Jun 2020
Interview
SumoLogic HR director approached me on Linkedin and the process only took a week and 3 days. I interviewed at Sumo Logic in June 2020.
Interview:
HR director introduced me to the Sales Development Manager in Sydney as the first round phone interview. Then I was interviewed with the Regional Director who heads the Korean office for a language skills test. Lastly the final interview was with the Sales Development Director based out of the US office.
The whole interview process took me by surprise by how engaged they were with me from the beginning to the end. The last interview with the Sales Development Director had to be my best pick. The nature of the interview was quite unconventional, and somewhat semi-formal. This really put my guard down and I wasn't feeling nervous at all. You can almost get a good sense of their culture in these interviews and from my experience I was able to gain transparency, modesty, equality and credibility.
Key takeaways would be:
1. Prepare and research the company upfront for a feel for what technology and industries they are selling to.
2. Highlight what skills you possess that would make you do well in this position
3. Just be true to yourself
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sumo Logic (Sydney) in Nov 2019
Interview
They reached out to me and had an initial phone interview, then came on-site to meet the team and then a follow up phone call with the regional manager. It was very positive and safe. I never felt scared or nervous, the team did their best to make me feel myself and feel welcomed to be me.
