This process with Grammarly was the smoothest interview experience I've had, in which I felt truly respected as a candidate. Throughout the interview process starting from the first round, I was aware of what the interview process would look like going forward, and Grammarly provided helpful information, and even a Premium subscription, for me to better understand their culture and product. This experience has shown me that, "It's because they're a start-up" is no excuse for a poorly-run interview process since Grammarly clearly doesn't let that stop them!
I applied online and heard back in a matter of 2 days to schedule my first video interview. The interview was pretty straight forward, consisting of a few behavioral questions and learning more about Grammarly's mission and product. Following this, I completed a take-home case study and the day after I submitted it, they reached back out to me for a third round. For this round, I stopped by the office for an in-person chat and case study which lasted about an hour. Next, I visited Grammarly for an on-site that included a 1-hour interview with 3 different interviewers, each focusing on a different aspect of my working style, and lunch with the senior recruiter. The final round consisted of a chat with Grammarly's CEO. The fact that the CEO meets with each potential employee that comes through the door says a lot about the company! He asked mostly behavioral questions and wanted to hear more about my experiences and thoughts on my previous work/college positions (since I graduated not too long ago).
Overall, as I've mentioned the experience was great. With every interviewer, I could tell that they were just as interested in getting to know me, as I was in learning about the company. Everyone I spoke with seemed genuinely kind and extremely passionate about Grammarly's product, and I believe that the company has a bright future!
