I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sur La Table (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2019
Interview
I was connected through a friend and, per her direction, submitted my application online. The interview was really relaxed. I had a lot of retail and sales experience prior to working at SLT, so I just answered a few questions, authorized a background check and that was it.
Two managers interviewed me outside at a table and chairs near the retail setting. Only one interview, mostly about food and what item I would buy from the store. Definitely recommend reviewing the interview questions as stated on here. They were all pretty much the same as mentioned.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sur La Table (Cleveland, OH) in Nov 2018
Interview
The interview process was very laid back. The manager did most of the talking. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all and I didn't have to talk much. There is a lot of training involved to learn all the products. I didn't feel that the pay was at the level of the knowledge needed to do this job well.
