Synthetic Genomics interview questions

After applying online through their website, I contacted my friend and asked her for an employee referral. The employee sent an email on my behalf and I was emailed a few weeks later inquiring about availability to conduct an interview. I was met by a team of four scientists that I would be working closest with, interviewed specific questions by each, and then given a tour of the facilities. After a tour and less formal chat with the supervisor for this position, I met with their HR person for additional interview questions and a breakdown of how the company operates and compensation specifics. Just over two weeks later I was offered a position via phone call and sent a formal job description via email.

Pretty standard. Received a phone call to discuss my resume. From there I was invited for an in person interview. There I met with HR then met with various members of the research group either individually or in pairs to discuss my background but more importantly to gauge personality conflicts between me and my potential colleagues.
