      Interaction Designer Interview

      17 Sept 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Seattle, WA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TEAGUE (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2015

      Interview

It might seem a little awkward at first on phone interviews, and the company cannot talk much about its work until you get to the in-person stage with signed NDAs, but once you're visiting the studio your vision of your typical duties and your overall fit will clear up. The process feels like it has many stops and starts: A few phone calls, then radio silence for a week or so, then some more activity, then more silence, and so on. Don't let this discourage you: Teague works on a broad spectrum of projects, and the company's needs can be so fluid that it takes some time to nail down candidates and finish defining roles. In-person interviews include a team of designers and managers of several disciplines: Do your research to see who you'll be talking to to make the day run smoother (for yourself and others).
