I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TIAA in Dec 2023
Interview
15-20 minute chat with a recruiter followed by a Zoom interview with hiring manager. The time between interviews was a little bit long ~ 2 weeks and I had to ping the hiring manager to get an update.

Question 1
Mostly talking about themselves and the role, then asked about myself. It was a fairly straightforward interview with no real STAR questions, which is what I was thinking it would be for a role that extensive.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TIAA (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2025
Interview
Applied online and was contacted by a recruiter to schedule a screening call. We did that and within days I was scheduled for a panel interview. I was very impressed at the efficiency.
Had the panel interview with dept lead, two colleagues. It was casual, conversational and went smoothly.
Frankly, I felt it was a very very good interview, and not only was I qualified for the role in every aspect according the JD., I could have brought more ot the table for TIAA in areas they were looking for, including AI.
The interview went so well that two days later, I received a call from the recruiter saying they "wanted a different skill set." I was surprised and very disappointed. I greatly appreciated the recruiter taking the time to call. Most companies just click 'no' in Taleo, and you get the automated reply, often a real kick in the a** when you've studied, prepared, and put time aside.
The rumor is that they preferred someone in Texas while they advertised multiple locations.
The interviewers were late and interview was cut short. It was hard to truly understand the scope of the role. Unfortunately requires time in the office vs being able to work remote.
