I applied in-person. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (New York, NY) in Jan 2015
Interview
Hand in resume. They only promote in store so you will have to start as a cashier and work your way up took me 1 year to get promoted. After handing in your resume you wait about 1 week till you hear back from someone once you do you will come in for interview or they will ask you about five questions very simple they will then sit you down and just talk feeling out your attitude and personality if the manager likes you you're hired
Pretty ordinary interview, asked questions like why do you want to work here? Where do you see yourself in a few years? Etc.. They like seeing if you have open availability and willingness to learn despite not having experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Wooster, OH)
Interview
A pretty straight forward interview process. Overall just getting a feel for if the candidate is a good fit for the culture and store. It helps if the individual interviewing has open availability since this can make a difference depending oon the time of year the candidate is interviewing.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Eagan, MN) in Nov 2022
Interview
Very smooth, not intimidating, good manager when I interviewed. One on one. Good interview questions. Felt comfortable, relaxed and easy going. Enjoyed the interview and was hopeful for a job offer.
