So the process took 1 week with 4 rounds of interview,
1. Round was telephonic, Java related questions, dbms related questions were asked. ACID properties, Working of Hashmap etc.
2. Round was technical, virtual round, in this round, a manager asked me about my project in deep, he was impressed by my explanation. I explained everything in so detailed. It was of about 1 hour.
Now their game starts from here.
The HR asked me about my current salary, and experience in java, i was asking for a descent hike, the HR agreed.
Then 3rd round schedule after 4 days.
HR told me that this would be an HR round but in actual they made it a technical round, i gave each and every explanation in detail, and then the interviewer asked me about my project and then i explained him with each detail in deep. He started asking about the things that only highest management can do, like who told you to use Java 8 in your project, you are not that technical, you are working on older version of Java, you should have use Java 17 in your project, i was whttttt, is there any choice for people in company to choose Java version or the company have standards that seniors decide.
Then after 1 hour, he asked me what's your expectations from us, how much do you ask, i told him that i am asking 12 LPA on 3+ years of experience. He asked me why are you asking this much ((( although it is product based company, they don't have money to give))), then i explained him that i am asking according to ny experience and knowledge.
Then this so called interviewer, who was a manager, said that i have seen many people working on 8 LPA who are more experienced and more knowledgeable than you.
I just want to ask you TS Manager ji, if you call your company as product based, then have some guts to give this much money, you just wasted my time, first you agreed but then , aapne apni aukaat dikha di ye bolkar ki itne package mei to 3 freshers aa jayenge. Then hire the freshers no, why are you wasting someone's time. And it was pathetic experience.
