I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TWIA (Austin, TX) in Mar 2024
Interview
The interview process is very lengthy as far a time. You interview with HR, then the hiring manager, and then potential peers. After 3 interviews, there is no follow up letting you know you did not get accepted for the position. A follow up phone call and email are just ignored.
I would look for a company that has strong communication skills and can follow up with applicants either way. If they are not able to do this, what else are they lacking in the communication arena?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was a difficult situation you had to handle and how did you determine what you would do?
You are right. As a third-round candidate, you should have received a follow-up communication.
This is not how we intend to handle our interview process and we are sorry this happened to you.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us; it will help us be better in the future.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TWIA (Austin, TX) in Dec 2022
Interview
Simple process and straight to the point. Courteous and professional. It seemed they know who they were targeting because the questions were primarily centered around job description and duties and less about hypotheticals.

Question 1
How did being a general contractor prepare you for this type of job?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TWIA (Austin, TX) in May 2019
Interview
I was first contacted by the recruiter for a 30 minute call. I was told on the call they would setup a phone interview with the hiring manager. I was kept informed and sent scheduling information via email. I had an hour phone interview with the hiring manager a few days later. The hiring manager said that the recruiter would follow up in the next few days. The recruiter called the next week to setup an in person interview and to have me complete an online assessment. The assessment took about 90 minutes to complete. The in person interview was with the hiring manager and lasted about an hour. The recruiter followed up a few days later to setup a second in person interview with the VP of the relevant department. The second in person interview lasted about an hour as well. A few hours after the second interview, the recruiter called to extend an offer.
