Interviewer asked me about my birthplace. I don't why.
But, later on he came over the technical area & asked me around 15-20 questions from C++ & operating system. Previously, he asked me the subjects to choose.
In C++, he confused me with the questions on inheritance. Except one, I was able to answer all his questions. When I had satisfied him, he asked me whether I know Java or not. Later on, he asked me what's the basic difference while implementing inheritance in JAVA & C++. A few questions on abstract class.
Then, he moved to the operating system & tried to compress by confusing between the addressing modes. I got a lot nervous & cannot remember anything related to it. I feel that I given the answers correctly.
Later he asked me about TCS & truly speaking, I rote Wikipedia related to that. Later on, he asked me, what you know about TCS apart from the points, you learned from internet.
I don't have any words related to this & just smiled over it.
Then, he told me that whether I have a question in my mind. I replied him that, what's the requirement for promotion & after how many days, I will get an increment.
Over that, he told me that promotion depends on 60% performance. Instantly, a question clicked on my mind (40% on what? Setting!) but had not crossed him. Again, he related increment with performance.
He had a sheet with 5 rows based on Communication skill, technical knowledge & 3 others that I cannot remember now.
With 4 columns labeled, poor, average, good & excellent. I just saw his markings. He ticked on excellent in case of communication skill, good in case of technical knowledge & in one row, ticked on poor (I feel that row belongs to knowledge about company).
After qualifying, I got my offer letter next day in my inbox.
