      Entry Level Recruiter Interview

      21 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Baltimore, MD
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tech USA (Baltimore, MD) in Aug 2018

      Interview

I was contacted by an account manager a couple of months ago but I was not interested at the time. I finally decided to give it a try last month to see if the role is for me. The account managed was nice and she prep me for the in person interview. I was interviewed by two people. The questions were basic and I thought it went well. I was invited for the second round of interview and they asked me if I can show more of my personality. ”The cheerful and bubbly personality”, they say. I didn't want to come for the second round of interview but I was like whatever, I have nothing to lose anyway. The second round of interview was a lot of questioning and they really wanted to know why I want to get into sales and recruiting. I also had an opportunity to shadow. The goal is to make 200 calls a week which is not bad. I haven't heard back from anyone since I had the second round of interview (which is unprofessional btw). They have a young culture there. Looks like you are in school with a bunch of kids. Everyone and I mean everyone was unprofessional. The receptionist always looks bothered and they throw words that I don't think suitable in the workplace. I knew I should've listened to the reviews here. Just a piece of advice, listen to the reviews here before even applying to this company.

      Anonymous interview candidate

      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Tech USA (Charlotte, NC) in Aug 2017

      Interview

First you do a pone screen, then fill out some bogus personality survey, then in person interview, then you shadow a recruiter for an hour to a couple of hours. The interviewer asked me where I wanted to be in 5 years and when it didn't relate to recruiting he kept trying to coach me into saying recruiting. These people lack interview skills and don't care about anyone. They didn't send a follow up email saying that I didn't receive the job.
