I applied online. I interviewed at The Bishop's School in Dec 2025
Interview
3 rounds of pretty significant and formal virtual interviews. Received an email on Christmas Eve saying that they've given the job to the employee who was doing the role on an interim basis. This person was also part of the interview panel. Great for this employee, but not good practice or decorum.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Bishop's School (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
First, I was brought in for a preliminary interview with the Head of the School, Head of the Department, and the Dean of Students. After meeting with them, they gave me a tour of the campus and a week or two later, I was called back for a follow-up interview. I also scheduled time to observe a few classes as I would have to teach a class as part of the follow-up interview. In my case, I taught two classes and was observed by ~3 different people per class that I taught. Throughout the day I interviewed with a variety of different people around campus. Everyone that I met was very amiable and it was a friendly process the whole way through. However, they do expect a lot and part of why I believe it went so smoothly was that I was very prepared after speaking to as many people as I could about what the process entailed and how to best approach it. After that interview, it was just a matter of them checking references and offering the position
