After doing the application online, I was called about two days later. She set me up with an interview which was also two days later, and explained some simple stuff to me; how to dress, what to bring, etc.
Upon arrival, the store manager was extremely sweet! However, the room she pulled me into was overcrowded, and was a glimpse into what I would be doing; which was worrying. Boxes were literally piled to the ceiling and there were only two seats available in the "break room" portion, which is just a table next to the manager. We spoke briefly about my experiences, and what I did before this job, what my background was like. She asked a few questions about customer service; how do I handle rude customers? How would I feel if my employees made a mistake? Am I good at staying calm? Those types of questions. Finally, she asked me what I wanted to make hourly, and when I told her, she said it was no problem! Which I enjoyed. She told me she enjoyed speaking with me and wanted me to come on, but wanted her District Manager to speak with me.
A day later, she called telling me that her DM didn't need to speak with me after seeing my resume, and agreed to pay a little higher than what I asked for, which was awesome! She brought me in for orientation roughly four days later, and we went from there.
