Multiple interviews, 1st with HR, which was general HR relation question then Pair programming session with Principal Engineer which focused on building spring boot microservices with given problem context and finally with Architecture Team
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Emirates Group in Apr 2016
Interview
Applied via a job portal to an outsourced recruiter and the recruiter asked for some details about my experience and salary expectations. Got a call for telephonic interview one month later. I was totally surprised when the recruiter advised me not to cut the call in between because even some architects with 15 years of experience had done that. I understood why they did that after the interview!
The interview was done by an Emirates employee. For five minutes he asked questions about stuff on my resume then started asking questions about Spring security and AngularJS, both of which I have not used. Basically, the interviewer asked questions based on his expertise, and then rudely told me you are just a beginner! He should have at least gone through my resume before scheduling an interview and instead he put on a condescending attitude. No wonder some candidates just cut the interview call.
