Interview
The interview process was minimal and streamlined. All members of staff went out of their way to extend their fullest courteously throughout. I feel strongly that they respected my time and my responses. Their recruitment team were extremely pleasant to work with, as were their HR team.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at The Mercator Group in Apr 2024
Interview
Overall a very positive experience. Throughout the process, I felt like I was valued and prioritised, unlike how most other companies made me feel.
Their recruitment team was extremely pleasant, maintaining constant, clear communication throughout and never hesitating to call me whenever I had questions.
Their interview process was also a breath of fresh air. Rather than a coding interview, It was set up to be a conversation with members of their dev team. From what I gathered, instead of seeking the most technically skilled people, I believe they look to identify those who fit their company values, integrate into the team well and are willing to learn on the job (for their entry role). The interviewers made me feel comfortable, were friendly and gave me ample time to ask questions too.
Alongside this, their attention to detail in my feedback was quite extensive, no other company has taken the time to provide such in-depth and honest feedback for an interview, they even took the extra step to call me and discuss it over the phone too.
Though I wasn't given an offer initially, I would have written the same review regardless due to it being such a great experience. Luckily for me, a position opened up a few weeks after my initial application and will be starting there soon!
