TokenMinds Lead Web Developer interview questions

I applied for the position through LinkedIn Easy Apply. Then, the CEO contacted me to schedule a call. Unfortunately, he hadn't read my CV. During the interview, he told me I wasn't suitable for the position. It felt like a complete waste of my time. If he knew I wasn't a good fit, why did he ask to schedule a call in the first place? I had clearly outlined everything in my CV.
