It was really easy, they ask you basic questions and about previous work experience. They want you to be bubbly and friendly, and want to know if you’re a good time player.

I was asked questions about my life and how I knew about Trader Joes. The HR person was friendly and seemed relaxed and confident, which in turn made me feel relaxed. I was urged to ask questions I had and was answered sufficiently.

The interview was incredibly relaxed, and it comprised of mostly simple questions such as prior employment, scheduling, and desired pay. After these questions it quickly became a more personal conversation with the employer about hobbies and interests.

Fairly standard interview. If you like people and are passionate about the product, that will benefit you. Previous retail experience is a plus. The staff at TJ's are generally friendly and welcoming.
