      Front-End Engineer Interview

      22 Jan 2017
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Trainline (London, England) in Jan 2017

      Interview

The process was very smooth, no overcomplicated things or delays. The interview has 3 steps. The first is a call with the recruiter, which will ask about your experience and discuss the position details, very nice guy and friendly. Then they will send you a test (for me it was a small React app) that you should complete in around a week, nothing too complicated, but may sure to find a good solution and add tests (TDD is something they appreciate). Then if you pass the test, they invite your for at interview on site with 2 of the senior developers. The guys are super nice and give you feedback for every question they ask, they go deep and try to see the way you think. They make you feel like part of the team and are always open to discuss solutions. I really enjoyed the process.
