I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Transamerica (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2014
Interview
When you walk in you will find that you are not the only person that is there. Followed by a group presentation about the company & the benefits of working for the company, then there is a one to one interview for each person in the group that decided or interested to know more or join the company. The one to one interviews are short & to the point specially if that is the type of business you would like to get into which is basically like all financial services companies, sales based on commission basis.
Someone reached out to me on LinkedIn and we set up an interview with no application process. One of these commission-based, no-experience-required things. That guy and his mentor talked to me for an hour with a whole presentation, and it ended with an offer to become one of their clients if not an advisor.
Very calm, and easy. They just want to get to know you at first. It isn’t as much as an interview as it is a conversation to see if that want to take the next step

Question 1
Tell me about your background and why you chose to apply to Transamerica
Get an insight of the business, learn about the structure, and compensation potential. It may be for some people but I’m still deciding if it’s for me. It was very reminiscent to a mlm structure so that kind of made me second guess if it was something I wanted to do but it may be for someone.
