The interview process was a very positive experience! I had the opportunity to meet with several team members one on one which was great to get their perspective and feedback on the company and the position I applied for. The interview questions were relevant and all of my questions were answered. They are very thorough but by the end of the process I felt very confident that I had a good understanding of the position, the company strategy, and company culture and felt it was a mutually good fit.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How important is company culture and describe your ideal company culture.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Trendspot (San Bernardino, CA) in May 2018
Interview
I interviewed with the CEO, who likes to record all first interviews on Zoom to share with the leadership team. I was asked many inappropriate questions about my personal life, especially about having children - because the role I interviewed for required heavy travel between the U.S. and China. During an in-person interview, the CEO went into detail about how he fired the last person in this role because 'she had children' and wasn't available after 7 p.m. That should have been a MAJOR red flag to avoid this company.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Trendspot in Jul 2020
Interview
A recruiter reached out for opportunity. Zoom Video - Recorded. The questions were generic and impersonal. It felt like the interviewer was doing a favor for someone else. It was simply a question/answer and then to the next.
