      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at TriCore

      Interview

I was initially approached by a head hunter on LinkedIn. There were a total of 3 interviews, the first was a video call with the hiring manager. The second was a phone call with the Director of Proj Mgmt. and the last was with the head of HR, hiring manager, and another regional partner. The entire process from initial LinkedIn message to rejection call (it was between me one another candidate) was about 1 month.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TriCore (Melbourne, FL)

      Interview

The process moved very quickly - there was about 8 days from my first interview to receiving a final decision. I feel that the interview process was very straightforward and easy to go through. The questions asked were very standard, and I appreciated the honesty both provided and expected by the company. I did have to do an assessment which seemed to hold more weight than my interview responses. While I was not offered the role, I had spent the majority of the time between my final interview and final decision worrying about having to refuse the job. While it does seem the people I'd be working with would be very nice and friendly, and create a positive work environment, the lack of work-life balance would have been detrimental. There were a variety of factors that pulled together towards this decision, but the main 2 were the fact that I was told I'd average ~50+ hrs/week to start out with and that the company has unlimited PTO. The unlimited PTO would typically be a great thing, though when it was explained, it did not seem that PTO was often able to be taken - especially for the project manager role. PTO is often used for engineers to recover from time spent on-site, which PMs rarely have the opportunity for. Typically when a company does not use unlimited PTO in the proper sense, it ends up meaning you don't get nearly as much time off as you would at a company with fixed PTO. I definitely felt through this interview process a lot of the sentiments shared by employees in the reviews, so I highly recommend taking those into consideration as you are looking for a role with TriCore. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from applying, as I said it seems like a lot of great people work here and you would definitely find yourself in a welcoming environment. This just didn't seem to fit what I personally want and need in terms of quality and work-life balance.
