The job description mentioned that is was a copywriter position with some proofreading, but it was indeed a proofreading position.
The interview itself was pleasant. Both the women interviewers were enthusiastic and cared a surprising amount for their job. Considering they deal in insurance and financial services and were part of a marketing team, I took it as a sign that CUNA Mutual was an employer that made the effort to make their employees comfortable. But who knows? I don't work there.
Anyway, I was mid-way through describing why I liked writing when they stopped me and asked if I knew what the position entailed. I described what I thought it was, and they corrected me to the actual duties, noting that they might have to change the description.
