I applied in August 2024.
The process began with a 30-minute phone call with the recruiter, where we discussed my background and experience, along with the company’s culture and events. I was even provided with a summary of the company’s benefits.
Next came a 30-minute Teams interview with the hiring manager, which ended up lasting about an hour. I received feedback from the recruiter afterward, who mentioned that the hiring manager said that both my personality and professional background were a strong fit for the role.
After that, several weeks went by before I was informed that they had hired another person for a similar, more senior role. The position I applied for was being put on pause, with a suggestion to follow up in three months.
In December, three months later, I reached out again. I was told there was no immediate urgency to fill the role, but that it could be reposted sometime in the new year.
Then, two months after that contact, I happened to come across the exact same position reposted online. I followed up and was told I’d be kept in the loop about the process. A few weeks later, after another follow-up, I received no response—and shortly after, the posting disappeared from the website.
