I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Saint Louis Park, MN) in Mar 2012
Interview
They call you first and set up a phone interview. They ask you basic questions about your resume such as where you worked and how long.
They then set up the next in person interview.
They brought me in, asked me a few questions such as,
-What is a web browser
-What is an IP address
-Say I have a vacuum cleaner and it was broken, what questions would you ask to better help me fix it over the phone
The interview was about 45 minutes long and it was with two people. They brought me around and showed me their computers and boards.
They called a few days later and emailed me the offer letter.

Question 1
The vacuum cleaner question because I wasn't sure how far they wanted me to go with it but it went fine,.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Austin, TX) in Mar 2019
Interview
Company leads you on through this long drawn out process almost encompassing an entire 2 months. If you make it to final stage you will have spoken to about 7 people total spanning over 3 interviews (3 phone, 1 in person, 1 assessment test). If you pass this and were lucky enough to get an offer (which I did not though I got this far) you will then have to do another long drawn out process of a drug-screening, criminal background check, reference check, and educational/employment verification. Once I completed the final stage I was ghosted by the company for about 3 & 1/2 weeks following up 3 separate times (so prepare for that treatment even after dedicating all that time, a notification would be nice, positive or negative). Below is the order of the interview process:
1. 1 hour phone interview with hiring manager
2. 1 hour phone interview with Director
3. 2 hour in-person interview (1 hour with hiring manager, 1 hour with hiring manager and 3
members of the support team)
4. 1 hour phone interview with 2 members of the DC based team
5. 1&1/2 hour written assessment test

Question 1
What do you know about Optum360 and how we optimize the billing revenue cycle?
I had applied for Technical Support Analyst position open in phoenix. The job criteria was according to my skills & I meet all the requirements required for this position even the certifications they required . After applying within few days I got email that they are considering my application & asked me to update the profile to make any changes. A few days after I checked my application status & still they were considering for it as per the status . This week I got email stating that this position is no longer available.
A few days back they were considering & sudden the position is no longer available?? Does it make any sense . The HR Dept of this company seems to be unprofessional as they tend to fill the positions within their company internally or through consulting companies. They just open the position on job board just to show they hire people externally but they tend to give preference to their internal employees or some other sources.
Applying to this company is just a waste of time ...
