The interview process consists of three rounds of coding. First Two were good but the third one was very bad because the person taking the last round was not at all interested in your answers. He only wants exact words and if you fail to d so then you are done.
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to review our interview process and for letting us know about your less than desirable experience. While we can never guarantee a positive outcome for the interview, we are committed to delivering a positive candidate experience throughout the process. We would love to hear how we can improve. You can write to me at aayushivohra@urbancompany.com.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Urban Company (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Sept 2018
Interview
I applied online through their job portal and was contacted by the HR to come to their office for the further process
On the first day, the process consisted of 4 rounds.
1st was a written round with 2 problems.
2nd round is a technical rounds with basic level of questions. You are asked to code the solutions on paper
3rd round is a technical round with higher level of difficulty than before. Pen and paper based again
4th round is again a technical round. This round was more of a discussion round with open ended questions. Very nicely taken round, thoroughly checking the fundamentals
These 4 rounds took the whole day to finish.
5th round was taken after 2-3 days and is also a semi technical round with the vp of engineering, which involved discussion on past experience and projects. The interviewer was busy in gym and came around 30mins late. The start of the interview, was all about him flaunting his experience and work. After that there were a few past projects based questions and 1-2 technical questions
After the interview, I was told there would be another round with founders, but was never contacted. I had to call the HR to ask about the application
Just a note, that after spending the whole day for the process, an email with rejection reason would be nice and do justice to the aspirant
