Tell me about your leadership style. What are the areas that you would like to improve your management skill? Tell me about a time that you had to build consensus for a new program. Where do you consider yourself strongest across the creative and analytical spectrum? What's your experience working across a matrix organization to drive enterprise programs?

      Marketing Director Interview

      6 Mar 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Vail Resorts

      Interview

HR reached out to me for an interview. Conducted first pass interview. Gushed over my experience and background. Stated she would speak with hiring manager, and express her positive assessment and provide feedback from him by Monday as well as email me synopsis of our positive call. Never heard back... no email or call. Would have preferred she not waste my time with false promises. Be a professional and provide the feedback as stated or don’t conduct interviews.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Basic marketing automation questions around campaigns, number of simultaneous campaigns, stakeholder interactions and outcomes.

      Director of Marketing Interview

      2 Aug 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Vail Resorts in Mar 2014

      Interview

Started with two phone screens with recruiting, then phone interviews with several leaders. Eventually in-person interviews with 6 different people, primarily behavior based questions to assess fit and strengths. The in-person interviews were relaxed and friendly and with some people much less formal than with others. They definitely are looking for real examples, not just your philosophy. Leadership, emotional intelligence, and analytical ability are critical.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell about a time you had to influence others who were not on the same page. What is feedback you've been given on something you need to work on?
