I applied online. I interviewed at Veolia (Houston, TX) in Jan 2021
Interview
Prelim screening with a recruiter. We went over the position and its main responsibilities. Talked a little about general HR things. I was invited shortly after for a panel interview.
Panel interview over Google Meet with someone in the same position in a different office and the hiring managers. A bunch of questions (see below). None of them technical. The job they described sounded like more of a facilities manager position than a project manager position; that was my first red flag. I did not get the best impression from the team. It had a very good ole boys mentality. I would suggest staying away if you are a woman, POC, or actually care about the environment. Although not unprofessional, some of their comments during the interview seemed out of place and frankly a little toxic.
If you can imagine this job being a square with four corners. 1.) Client 2.) Sales Rep 3.) Specialists 4.) Internal employees, where would you put yourself as Project Manager?
