Interview process, what process? They reached out to me for some help in the local community and dangled out the opportunity of a new job (as I was on the lookout at the time). At this point I submitted my CV and salary expectations. I spoke to a Principal Tester within the company for about 45 minutes. They were late but the meeting seemed to go well. He said he would have me speak to the testers in the office as part of a technical test. Out of the blue then someone from the recruitment team phoned me about a week later and we had a chat - once again seemed to go well and feedback was positive. What isn't positive is once the Newcastle office lead had got what he wanted from me and I got a rejection email out of nowhere (about 27 minutes later). I have no idea if they ever really wanted me for the job but what they didn't know was I worked with one of their current testers who told me they had decided the week before they told me that I was going to be declined but sat on telling me until after. They put the rejection down to salary expectations but they had those way back at the start of the process. They are clearly a manipulative company that are there to use people rather that share or learn from them.
