I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret in Aug 2011
Interview
I submitted my application in store as suggested, and was immidiately asked to come in the next day for an interview. I returned and discovered it was a group interview which I had never encountered before. The group interview was actually kind of fun -- it was very casual and allowed me to get to know the other interviewees (at least one of whom accepted a job as well as myself). However, more dominant/talkative interviewees tend to dominate the interview and leave other candidates answering questions with, "yeah, what she said...", so remember to be prepared!
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
