Final round required a week-long case study on a business idea that could have real financial value to them — free consulting disguised as an interview task.
Despite being told the work was very strong, I was rejected the next morning with zero feedback, even after multiple follow-ups.
I got to penultimate round with another start-up, was rejected and got 2 calls to go through feedback from HR and the interviewer so I could improve going forward - this company paid at least 2x what Vitrue was paying
Pay is shockingly below market (£35–40k). No serious VC-backed start-up at Seed/Series A pays this low.
Short-sighted behaviour both on salary and feedback that will damage their reputation in the market.
Advice to Candidates:
Avoid wasting your time. I ended up with offers at £55k, £75k and £90k from similar stage start-ups (Series A/Seed/Bootstrapped) that treat candidates far more professionally.
