I was invited to a two-stage interview process, with the first interview conducted online and the second held in person. The in-person interview lasted more than 90 minutes. While it was quite demanding, the overall experience was positive and the discussions were engaging.
I was ultimately rejected based on feedback that I found difficult to understand, particularly because no concerns or indications related to those points were raised during the assessment process. This made it challenging to reconcile the feedback with my interview experience.
Based on the profile of the selected candidate and my understanding of the role, I concluded that I may have been overqualified for the position, considering both the level of responsibility and the compensation offered.
I would encourage the company to provide more transparent and realistic feedback to candidates, as this would help create a more constructive and valuable candidate experience.
