      Quality Engineer III Interview

      18 Dec 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Walmart (Bengaluru) in Dec 2018

      Interview

I had to wait for 30 mins to get in to the interview process. It was told initially that there will be 3rounds and out of which first will be Java programming. I have just taken the chair, Interview started with question, tell me about framework you developed. I explained the framework I worked on, the she asked few random questions on that, and I answered. Immediately she switched to QA questions, and asked How API testing works? I started explaining but she stopped and asked tell only how it works, she is not in a mood to hear what i am explaining, instead she is looking directly for answers. When I was explaining only she said I am expecting these answers. I was not completed and I know that i have tell those points. But no chance for me. There was not even a single programming or logical questions, also no java concepts or proper testing related questions. Interview was only for 15 mins. I dint feel that I am attending Fortune #1 company interview. Poor interview process and no proper validation.

      Quality Engineer III Interview

      15 Dec 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Bengaluru) in Dec 2023

      Interview

I got an interview call from the HR previous day morning and said that the interview is in next day, I tried checking with HR to postpone the interview as it is short notice but, she said that there is no slot so, I didn't want to miss the chance and attended the interview. It was like drive and multiple candidates joined in the call. I got assigned to a break room and then the interviewer joined in the room. He was so rude and he made to feel like I didn't know anything. I tried to answer a few questions though but got stopped in the middle and he always wanted to show off that he was right. I have attended several interviews and none of them made me feel this way. Even if I made something wrong they politely explained me and didn't make me feel insecure about my capabilities. To all the Senior QA out there thinking that they know more than anybody else - Remember that you have passed our path to be there in that position and there are more people out there who are greater than you. Thanks a lot for your wonderful experience.

      Quality Engineer III Interview

      24 Sept 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Bengaluru
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Bengaluru) in Sept 2015

      Interview

I applied through my campus. There was a online test to begin with, which consists of 10 MCQs (topics like quantitative aptitude, find outputs of c programs, unix, etc) and 3 programming questions from hacker earth (topics like math related, logic and string manipulations, encoding and decoding of strings quesions). Time limit: 90 mins. Difficulty: Hard. Out of 100+ students they narrowed it to 5. So we have to nail the aptitude online test. Then 3 rounds of technical interview. Same old routine of asking normal interview questions and mixing it with programming questions. The interviewer wants us to write the program with the correct syntax and stuff. So learn data structures and algorithms, top to bottom. Make sure you know everything in your resume. As each interviewer will ask about the projects and if possible write a snippet of the code in front of them. Time: (each interview) 30 mins to 60 mins Difficulty: Average to Hard. Out of the 5, 3 ever chosen for HR. The HR, was very simple, friendly guy with normal HR related questions. Time: 10 mins Difficulty: Easy Out of the 3, 2 got the job, and 1 got internship which will convert to full time based on work.
