I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Villa Park, IL) in Jun 2012
Interview
I applied around the end of may and got a call about two weeks after that and scheduled an interview. I looked online to find some of the questions asked so I already knew what I was going to answer. Basically they have you wait in the break room until a manager calls you to do the interview. About a week later I got a call to schedule my drug test. A week after that I got a call saying I got the job so the whole process took about a month. All around it was fairly easy for me mostly because they were expanding into a supercenter when I applied. I think if you go online and study the questions, the interview process will go fairly smooth.

Question 1
"when was a time you had a difficult time with a coworker?"
Pretty easy. A lot of information up front that's hard to retain but everything you need to find is online. Pretty much always ends with an offer. Just be cool.
Online application and skill assessment, followed by an in person interview with a team lead. Assessment was a little vaguely worded at times, but it all seems like common sense if you've worked customer facing roles before.
Efficient interview process. Quick and easy interview. Hiring manager was approachable and easy to talk to. I was asked about my experience to determine if I would be a good fit.
