Interview
I applied online and was called the same week and scheduled an interview the following week with the personnel manager and a few other managers. Then scheduled an interview with more managers for a few days later. During both days of interview, the room they did it in was noisy and distracting.
During my first interview people kept coming in and and out and I felt like the lady wasn't really paying attention to me because she kept talking to people while I was trying to talk. They basically just asked me about my work experience and what my interests at Wal-mart were. I really felt like I wasn't going to be hired because I didn't think my availability and my interests fit what they were looking for. They wanted to put me in produce, but I really didn't want to be put there, but I felt like I wasn't going to get the job if I said I didn't like produce. But I just needed a job and would have gone anywhere they needed me. They asked me to rank what jobs I would like best out of a list they gave me. I really wanted to be in bakery, but they put me in deli, which was my second choice and that was fine with me. You can put on your profile that you would like to switch and they will consider you if another job opens...but I think you have to had worked there for 6 months...not sure.
The second interview was the one with the tough questions. They were like...form questions they have to ask and they have to rank your answer. The first round was with the zone manager and some other manager lady. When you go in for an interview, have some examples in mind that you can answer with. They especially want to hear about how you serve customers as your #1 priority, how you are willing to go out of your way for them, and that you are okay with seeking help from management, or going to management if you have an issue or problem and they want to know that you can problem solve. The managers during the second interview were really nice an comforting. The zone manager kept telling me that I did really well and not to be nervous. They paid attention to me, made eye contact, and responded to my answers well. They finished the hiring process that very day.
***Drug test: after your second interview and you are hired, you MUST go get a drug test within 24 hours or else the job offer is withdrawn.*** I went right after my interview.

The interview was a comfortable. Normal questions. The second interview was a group interview. The interviewer was very nice and curious, but at the same time seemed uninterested because they is such major turnover in the company.

Interview
My assistant manager and department supervisor told me about the job, asked me about a time when I provided good customer service and asked me about what I think good customer service is. Then the store manager talked to me and asked me if it was a job I could do. Then I was hired.
