      Communications Interview

      26 May 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at X in Apr 2015

      Interview

I actually applied twice online. Received a phone call from the recruiter after the second application. The hiring process was quite intense and I needed to undergo several interviews. 1st interview: phone screen with the recruiter for about 20-30 minutes. It was a pretty basic interview to check whether my experience is suitable with the requirements that Twitter looks for. 2nd interview: a 1-hour face-to-face interview with direct user, which would be my direct superior. It was similar with the phone screening, but more in-depth questions to know deeper on what I had been doing, strengths, way of thinking, as well as to get the chemistry. 3rd interview: a 30-minute video interview with head of the department from other country in South East Asia. It was similar with the 2nd interview, more into getting to know me and my capabilities. 4th interview: a casual face-to-face session with potential colleague. Pretty basic questions, but also to get to know my way of thinking and opinions on several topic. This interview also aimed to see the chemistry between me and the potential colleague to be as we would be working closely in the future. 5th interview: a 30-minute phone interview with country business head. The most challenging among the other interviews, since I couldn't really tell what the interviewer were thinking about my opinions and questions. 6th interview: a 30-minute video interview with regional market director. This was a casual interview session, but also emphasizing on my views and opinions. Not so much talking about experience anymore. 7th interview: a 30-minute video interview with global director of the department. Questions were similar with the 6th interview. 8th interview: a 1-hour video interview session with direct user. He asked on how I felt about all the previous interviews. He also asked me to present my written assignment. This session was to get more assurance whether I was a perfect fit for the job. I received an official offering letter 2 days after the final interview.
