I applied online for a bilingual Japanese and English Project Manager position. I had worked with a YPrime projects before while employed at another company, so I was already familiar with this type of work. I scheduled an intro call with the Talent Acquisition team and prepared for the interview.
During the call, I answered the interviewer’s questions and they seemed happy with my background, even mentioning that I was perfectly located and that my experience was a good fit. They said they would pass my candidacy forward and let me know about the next interview within three days.
When I did not hear back, I followed up, and then followed up again the next week. As you can probably guess, I was ghosted.
Overall, the interviewer was nice, but the interview process left a negative impression. I was told I was a strong candidate and given clear expectations about the next steps, only to be ghosted afterward.
