Strangest ghosting experience I’ve had yet.
- Applied on 8/4/19
- 8/22/19 I have a basic phone screening with a recruiter. They like me and give me an online Cognitive Aptitude Test to do online and I complete it within 3 days.
- Recruiter emails me back on 8/26 confirming they received the results and will be in touch and then would schedule a technical screening.
- 2 weeks dead silence (Ghost)
- I reach out over the Application system and LinkedIn to inquire on the status of my application and the recruiter informs me on 9/6 that they’ve hired a new director and they will be looking at my resume and asked me to send a new copy of my resume. I oblige.
- 3 days later get an automated email saying I’ve turned down.
What I really don’t understand is how could they know I’m not technically fit for the role when they never did the technical screening?
