A member from the TA team called, enquired about my past experience and set up a call with the CEO.
The call with the CEO went well - we discussed about my past experience, people management skills, etc. They set up a technical interview next with a junior member of the Tech team. He asked me the design both HLD and LLD for as Fast Tag system. I stated my assumptions and looked for alignment: he asked to continue and then throughout the conversation he was not paying attention, and only nodded at times. He had totally lost his focus, and the overall candidate experience was pathetic. He switched on the video for hardly 10-12 minutes, and the rest of the 45-50 minutes he had it off. To interview a Senior Leadership role, a junior engineer who has zero care about candidate experience was assigned - shows the culture at this startup. Forgettable experience to say the least.
