I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Zscaler in Apr 2025
Interview
The overall interview process was fairly standard. It began with an HR round that lasted around 15–20 minutes, followed by three technical rounds. I believe I performed well throughout, and I was informed afterward that the feedback from the technical rounds was positive.
However, despite the encouraging feedback, I was later told by the HR representative that the position had been elevated to a more senior role, and the team felt I would not be the right fit for this updated requirement.
While I appreciate the opportunity to interview, I was disappointed with the outcome—especially after receiving positive feedback and investing significant time and effort. Clearer communication regarding potential changes to the role earlier in the process would have been helpful and more respectful of candidates’ time and expectations.
