Easy questions about leadership and managing a team, chill and laid back, interview was 30-45 mins long via teams. Very comfortable chat with only one person, district manager I believe.

Question 1
How would you approach managing a store where the employees are not hitting their sales goals consistently, it's a stagnant store.
District manager called me to set up a first interview. She was nice. The first round of interview is getting to know me more & my sales background, what I did previously, job history, etc.
I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Zumiez (Aurora, CO) in Nov 2022
Interview
The interview process for an internal employee moving up to a store manager position usually involves some sort of presentation surrounding a store scenario. You’ll be given a scenario outlining who you have on your staff and who you need, issues the store is having within product execution, and profit results. You’ll have to build a 90 day plan on how you will impact your priorities. Outside of the scenario they’ll be looking for commitment and competitiveness.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interview questions will all revolve around the specific actions and priorities you choose for your scenario. I’m sure you’ll also be asked about your goals inside and outside of Zumiez, strengths and weaknesses, leadership qualities you possess and skills or qualities you need to work on, and why you’d like to work for Zumiez. Dress with style if it is in-person interview. Be energetic and talkative if the interview is over the phone.
