No promotions available unless you’re Caucasian, very difficult to get promoted into senior positions if you’re from a ethnic minority. If you’re Caucasian they actually create senior job roles for you, their are no ethnic minorities in the operation management roles in collections. It’s a very racist place to work, they will have ethnic minorities who will be put in a secondment role for a few months as a team leader however this is only for statistics to show they have ethnics in place. One the statistics are out they will remove the ethnics.
I developed relationships with communication providers in my previous position and was able to speak directly with technical managers to more quickly resolve current technical issues experienced by our clients rather than just informing them it was a third party comms issue we were not responsible for, often resolving problems on site.
