Mainly asked questions based on experience listed on my resume. Asked deep questions about data structures and algorithms. Asked to write code to describe the solution to a business problem.

how you would filter out DOS requests when monitoring requests to your system
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at data.ai (Vancouver, BC) in Apr 2019
Interview
Long multi-step process capped off with a vague from-scratch assignment which demands a pretty serious investment of time. As a person with an existing full-time job and plenty of other obligations, I just didn't have the time to put into this that they seemed to be expecting.

Non-language-specific questions on technical knowledge
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at data.ai (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
I applied months ago, and got a phone interview by the recruiter after a week, basically some self introduction. Then a onsite interview was arranged after roughly a week. The receptionist was nice. I spent one hour talking about some experience with a software engineer and the hiring manager. The whole process sounds smooth. But got no response until I ping them back a week after, and 3 days later the recruiter gave me some coding test for me, "to showcase your coding skills", as quoted.

The interviewing engineer was actually not very experienced, only asking some basic questions. The manager asked several behavioural questions, like what do you define "success".
