I applied online. I interviewed at eDreams ODIGEO (Porto, Oporto) in Dec 2025
Interview
The first interview was with HR and it had some screening questions then the second one was a live coding interview with a mock up project wjhere you had to explain and correct the code (around 1h30min), followed by ghosting
Simple interview with HR, then with one of the solution architects them a 1 hour and a half with 2 Seniors.
The interview leaves no time to discuss thinks, ranged from normal questions to SOLID, MicroService Questions, Design Patterns to a Exercise regarding Battleships. There was supposedly more but due to time constraints, that part was left out,
The "joke" of the process was when I wasn't fit for the role but magically, I would fit another role if I moved to Spain.
However, after declining that and asking if I could fit in other opportunities of the same level in my country, which there are, I was hit with a 1 week wait period, to finally be present with that I wouldn't fit any vacancy, even the ones which , according to them, I was more than able to fit.
This paired with broken English between 3 HR people that honestly just wasted my time was a unreal experience from a company with such high standards. Also, writing an email and having to wait sometimes more than 24 hours for a reply is something unreal.
