They wouldn't even consider interviewing me because I am a male.
I received an email job description from an eTeam recruiter that was a really good match for my qualifications and experience. However, the text of the email indicated the following:
"Job Title: Program Manager
Location: Cary, NC
Duration: Full time
Work Authorization : GC or Citizens
Note : Only Female candidates can apply"
Yep, only Female candidates. I contacted eTeam's HR Department and advised them that this posting was in conflict with US employment and hiring law. The response: "I would like to bring it to your attention that this recruiter being new and based out of another geography; he made a humanly mistake." Say what? So you don't train your recruiters enough and so that makes it alright for eTeam to discriminate?
The recruiter then attempted to "recall" the original message but failed.
Why does eTeam think it can do this?
