For a technical recruiting company, I am very disappointed in my recruiter. The interview process is very lengthy in my case, and the communication with the recruiter was basically non-existent. In the beginning of my processes, back in September, I was told they were expecting to get the new hire onboarded within the next few weeks. It is now December, and I am still being told every few weeks that I am still "In Consideration." At this point, I would rather be told that I did not get the position. My recruiter scheduled my first interview with only herself, but last minute she told me it was no longer with her but with one of the managers instead. This was ok, as I got to meet the manager and have a great conversation as well as answer his questions. The manager told me this was the only interview necessary and that I would hear from them within the week. Toward the end of the week, I sent a follow-up email to the recruiter who never answered me. Two weeks later, she called me and said she would like to schedule a second interview with one of the higher up managers. She also mentioned to text her cell phone rather than email her. I scheduled the meeting with the manager through my recruiter for two days later, which turns out was also a bad idea because she scheduled it incorrectly on the wrong date and time. Once I got the confirmation email for the next interview, I reached out by email, text, and called multiple times but was ghosted again. I moved my plans around to make time for this interview and the interviewer seemed unsure as to why I was even scheduled to talk to him at first. At the end of the interview everything sounded as if it went well and he said that my recruiter will reach back out to me within the week. Right after, I emailed the recruiter and told her that the interview concluded and was hoping to hear from her soon. Another two weeks went by and the recruiter called me to ask if I ever met with the "director." I told her yes I did, and she said that was great and she will reach out to me later in the week. This was back in October, and since then every week she either says I am In Consideration still or they are working with their finance team. I would much rather be rejected than have the recruiter reach out to me every once in a while, saying that I may still have an offer.
