HR overview, followed by 2 seperate interviews; one with a designer and product lead, the other with 2 members of the marketing team. Fairly straightforward, and all members of the team I would be working with were very professional and genuine. I had originally accepted the offer, but then declined after a negative experience with the background and employment checks, which kept getting pushed back, interfered with my daily schedule trying to finish up existing work, and the expectation to complete these tasks on the weekend before I had even started working there. One of the recruiters had reached out to me in the middle of completing these tasks to ask if I was still interested in the role, which I thought was very unusual. Having to complete the background and employment check is pretty standard going through a third party, but in this case I had to continue providing proof of employment above and beyond that to HR, and as much as I liked the team, I felt like working there might be just as painful as the recruitment process. This was my experience being on a work visa, so an Australian candidates experience would probably be quite different.
