I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (Glasgow, Scotland) in Aug 2016
Interview
Easy process. Applied online and was called for brief phone interview the following day. Interview arranged for the following week. Interview was basic and felt rushed.
Was contacted by phone call to say I'd been unsuccessful and was given feedback. They said I had passed the interview and came across really well but I hadn't been successful because I had a 'lack of availability'. When I questioned it (because I'm available to start immediately and can work any days/time) they checked and said it was because others were able to work more than the 15 hours I was able to (the contract was only for 10). So, in short, when they advertise for a 10 hour post what they really mean is they want someone to work full time - the same principle as a zero hour contract. I would have thought a company like lego was better than that sort of thing but apparently not. Waste of time and highly disappointing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic HR questions
1) describe your experience/work journey so far
2) why did you apply to work with leg
3) tell me about a time you gave great customer service
4) tell me about a time when you received bad customer service
the interview was nice and casual, quite informal and fun honestly. the interviewers had good questions that challenged me, and they didn't feel judgemental as i responded. very chill. how is this not thirty words. they also told me outright what the pay was, when training started and gave me options to give my availability. we were done in like twenty minutes it was unbelievably quick.
Interviewers were really friendly and the questions were pretty standard. The company got back to me quickly in about 4-5 days for the results which i always really respect after an interview.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (Billund) in Mar 2024
Interview
I recently had an interview with LEGO, and it was a very positive experience. The interview process was stress-free, with a relaxing and friendly approach. The team took the time to get to know me and clearly explained their expectations for the position. While I was not offered the job, the experience was invaluable and left a strong impression. After the hiring process over, I was pleasantly surprised with a two-person invitation to LEGO House. I appreciate this kind gesture and the opportunity to learn more about LEGO.
