Clinical Coder

Maternity cover 24 hours\week

We are a busy but friendly GP Practice with c 12,300 patients who is looking for an accurate, organised and motivated Clinical Coder to cover a maternity absence.

The successful applicant will work as part of our Computer Department. Key areas of responsibility include summarising and coding medical records using the appropriate READ codes, results recording, general data entry and dealing with phone calls to general enquiries.

The ideal candidate should have strong IT and data entry skills and attention to detail. Previous experience in summarising and coding patients’ records would be beneficial but not essential.
