The role of Sleep and Respiratory Physiologist is to provide a high quality, patient focused, efficient Respiratory Physiology service within Papworth Hospital NHS Trust.
The key duty is to work as part of the sleep laboratory team to providing a sleep diagnostics service and supporting the management team in planning and quality control of the service. This will include:

BSc (Hons) In Clinical Physiology (Respiratory) or equivalent
ARTP Practitioner Qualification or equivalent
ARTP CPAP qualification
A-STEP
ESRS Expert Somnologist Technologist Qualification
RPSGT
Registration with RCCP, ACHS or HCPC.
Ability to perform a wide range of pulmonary function tests
Ability to perform a wide range of sleep diagnostic tests
Ability to set up CPAP therapy on OSA patients, troubleshoot and follow up
Ability to analyse information
Proficient in MS Word, Excel
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritise own workload in relation to the priorities of the department
Ability to pay close attention to detail in verbal, written and electronic communication
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a high-quality service
Ability to work on own initiative
Possess a willingness to learn
Looks to improve service

Experience of working as a clinical respiratory and sleep physiologist
Experience of noxturnal, visi-download, Sentrysuite and dominolite.
Experience of RESMED, SEFAM and Lowenstein CPAP devices.
Experience of airview.

Ability to undertake manual handling tasks
Ability to deal with sensitive information in a professional manner
Ability to concentrate for periods of time whilst testing patients and inputting data into a computer
